Citroen Evasion: The History of the ModelCitroen Evasion made its debut during Genevan motor show in March of 1994. The French minivan just like Jumper, the model introduced the same year was the result of PSA and FIAT concerns' engineers cooperation. During its first year in production the automobile was provided only with gasoline powered 2.0-liter engines that put out 123 hp and 147 hp. The more powerful modification featured turbocharging with intercooling. In 1995 the model range was expanded with 1.9-liter turbo-charged diesel engine and with 2.1-liter power plant of popular XUD series just a little bit later. In 1997 the automobile was restyled. Updated Evasion can be recognized by the third stop-light. Starting from 1998 the minivan was provided with 1.8-liter gasoline powered engine. Modern direct-injection diesels entered the model range in 2000. In 2002 Evasion was replaced by a more updated Citroen C8. |
