Citroen BX: Modifications

The automobile was produced in two body types, these are five-door hatchback and station wagon. Each automobile version boasted of a fairly spacious saloon and Break modification had a huge trunk of 1800 liters (when rear seats are folded).

The automobile was provided with a great number of gasoline powered and diesel engine modifications during the production period, however not all of them became really wide-spread. The most popular of them were 1.4-liter, 1.6-liter, and 1.9-liter power plants and diesel engines of 1900 cubic centimeters.

The automobile could be provided with four-speed or five-speed manual transmission or with a three-speed automatic one.

The base model featured a front-wheel drive and in 1989 4WD modification was introduced that featured all-wheel drive.

All Citroen BX cars were provided with hydraulic suspension.

The majority of the automobile models cannot boast of great kitting-up in today's understanding, however the same applies to most of the automobile producers of the time.
